" In December 2005, I had my drum designed and created by Sacredrums, Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Michelle was in close email contact with me during the design for painting process. I have been blessed with a truly 'special' instrument, imbued with unique 'energy'. At first I was uncertain of her sound, being a complete novice in drumming but in spending time with her have come to recognise her sound as individual. I call my drum 'her' as I have felt a female energy from her from the beginning, confirmed by Michelle and Larry, during the making. At music festivals, shamanic journeying and meditation groups when I have shown or played my drum, experienced medicine drummers and musicians are in awe of the distinctive sound which comes from my drum. By the reverent and respectful tone with which they commend this drum I am led to believe that my 'Sacred Drum' has a truly special and sacred 'voice'. So unique that despite the long experience of one shamanic drummer he "had never heard anything like it".
